About Delphinium New Millennium Mini Stars
A new breeding success by the Dowdeswell’s, the Mini Stars (formerly known as Dwarf Stars) give gardens the same strong attributes of other Millennium Delphiniums but with a shorter easier to manage stem. These plants tend to grow about a half to 2/3 the height of traditional delphiniums and have very strong stocky stems. Individual plants will be a mix of pastel blue, purples, mauves, and occasional pink. The Dowdeswell Delphiniums stand up well to heat and humidity and the strong stems are covered in elegant flowers. They were became a favorite in my garden.

Planting and Growing Delphiniums
Make sure to “harden off” your Delphiniums before planting to prevent shock. Prepare your planting hole by turning the soil at least a shovel size deep and wide and be sure the hole is filled with plenty of organic matter for best results. Plant deep enough to cover the top of the root ball. Press down firmly on the soil and then water it in. Consider fertilizing once or twice a season.
