About Delphinium Summer Nights
These delphiniums are known for their shorter growth habit with mounds of blossoms held a short way above the foliage. Prolific blooms through the season making them an excellent choice for the front of the border or mixed in pots. Delphinium Summer Nights are the best type of delphinium for the warmer zones. Ours bloomed all summer long. The midnight blue is a perfect color.

Planting and Growing Delphiniums
Make sure to “harden off” your Delphiniums before planting to prevent shock. Prepare your planting hole by turning the soil at least a shovel size deep and wide and be sure the hole is filled with plenty of organic matter for best results. Plant deep enough to cover the top of the root ball. Press down firmly on the soil and then water it in. Consider fertilizing once or twice a season.
