Sweethearts are another magnificent creation by the Dowdeswells! Mid to light pink and with a white bee, makes this variety a softer pink. Most are doubles with a little ruffle at the edges. They are a perfect complement to the other cool blue and purple delphiniums.
Planting and Growing Delphiniums
Make sure to “harden off” your Delphiniums before planting to prevent shock. Prepare your planting hole by turning the soil at least a shovel size deep and wide and be sure the hole is filled with plenty of organic matter for the best results. Plant deep enough to cover the top of the root ball. Press down firmly on the soil and then water it in. Consider fertilizing once or twice a season. Stake if needed.
